If you're running yoga classes today, you probably know the drill. A student DMs you asking about your schedule. You send them a screenshot of your timetable. They reply "can I book Tuesday 7pm?" You say yes. Then you forget to follow up about payment. They forget the class. Nobody wins.
Creating a proper booking page fixes all of this in one step. Here's a complete guide to setting yours up.
Why your current system is working against you
Most yoga instructors handle bookings through a combination of messages, phone calls, and good old-fashioned memory. This works — until it doesn't.
The problems are slow to appear but fast to compound:
- You accidentally double-book two students for the same 1:1 slot
- A student forgot they booked and doesn't show up
- You spent 20 minutes on back-and-forth messages just to confirm one session
- A payment "on the way" never arrives, and you feel awkward asking again
A booking page eliminates all of this. Students see your real-time availability, book themselves in, and receive an automatic confirmation. You see it in your dashboard. Everyone wins.
What you need before you start
Before setting up your booking page, gather a few things:
- Your session types (group classes, 1:1 sessions, workshops)
- Your pricing for each
- Your typical schedule (which days and times you teach)
- Your payment preferences (bank details, UPI ID, or online payment)
Having these ready means you can be live in about 10 minutes.
Step 1: Create your account
Go to MyNextSlot and sign up. Your 14-day free trial starts immediately — no credit card required.
Once signed in, you'll land on your dashboard. This is your home base for managing everything.
Step 2: Set up your profile
Navigate to Settings → Profile. Here you'll add:
- Display name — how you want to appear to students
- Title — something like "Certified Yoga Instructor" or "Ashtanga & Yin Yoga Teacher"
- Bio — a short paragraph about your teaching style and experience
- Profile photo — a clear, professional photo builds trust
- Username — this becomes your booking URL (e.g., mynextslot.com/sarahyoga)
Take a few minutes here. Students will read your profile before they book, so a polished one converts better.
Step 3: Create your yoga sessions
Go to Sessions in your dashboard. You can create two types:
Group Sessions
For classes where multiple students can book the same time slot. Perfect for regular group yoga classes. For each group session, set:
- Session name (e.g., "Morning Vinyasa Flow")
- Duration and price per person
- Maximum number of participants
- Session mode (online via Google Meet, or in-person with your studio address)
- Recurring schedule (weekly is common for yoga classes)
1:1 Sessions
For private coaching or personal yoga sessions. One student books one slot. For 1:1 sessions, set the session name, duration, price, and session mode.
Create as many sessions as you offer. Students will see all of them on your booking page and can choose what's right for them.
Step 4: Set your availability
For group sessions, availability is set by the session schedule itself — for example, every Tuesday and Thursday at 7am.
For 1:1 sessions, go to 1:1 Bookings → Manage Availability. You define your available time blocks — the windows when students can book private sessions. For example:
- Monday to Friday, 9am–12pm
- Saturday, 8am–10am
You can also block specific dates when you're on holiday or otherwise unavailable, without affecting your regular schedule.
Step 5: Configure payments
In Settings → Payment, set up how you want to receive payments.
The manual payment option lets students pay via bank transfer, and you confirm receipt from your dashboard. This works immediately with no additional setup. Online payments via integrated checkout are coming soon — once live, payments will land directly in your account with no manual confirmation needed.
Step 6: Share your booking link
Your booking page is now live at mynextslot.com/[your-username].
Share it everywhere your students find you:
- Instagram and social media bios
- Email signature
- Your website (using the embeddable widget)
- A broadcast message to your existing students
When a student opens your link, they'll see your sessions, your availability, and a clean form to book. They fill in their name, email, and phone — and they're booked.
What happens after someone books
The moment a student completes a booking:
- They receive a confirmation email with session details and payment instructions
- You see the booking in your dashboard
- Both of you receive an automatic reminder before the session
- If it's an online session, a Google Meet link is auto-created and shared
You don't lift a finger.
Tips to get more bookings from your page
A good profile and a live booking link get you started. A few more things that help:
Write a bio that speaks to your student's goals. Instead of "certified yoga teacher with 10 years experience," try "I help beginners build a consistent practice without feeling overwhelmed."
Set up at least one free session. A free 30-minute intro class or a discovery call dramatically lowers the barrier for first-time students.
Keep your availability current. Nothing frustrates a potential student more than booking a session and then getting it cancelled because your calendar wasn't up to date.
Use the embeddable widget on your website. If you have a website, drop the booking widget on your homepage so students can book without leaving.
Setting up your booking page takes less than an hour and pays for itself the first time a student books without you having to exchange a single message.
